In all honesty, the NBA is the most exciting sport in the world. I love college basketball, and the NFL, but only real athletes can make it to the NBA, unless you are 7"6 and can rebound. Many people think the NBA has gone down since Magic, Bird, the Dr, and Jordan have left, but I have to disagree. Have you seen the Western Conference? There is a good chance that the sixth seed could take over the first spot in a weeks worth of basketball. Allen Iverson has to play with a broken hand just to give the Nuggets a chance to get in the playoffs. At this point I have a couple of questions for the rest of the season for the Western Conference:
1. Can Rafer Alston, Dikembe Mutumbo, Bobby Jackson, and Scola really be good enough to get the Rockets not only in to the playoffs, but past the first round?
2. Is Ronnie Brewer or Kyle Korver a good enough defender to stop Kobe, T-Mac, or Manu Ginobili from dropping 50 points on them? The Jazz have been notorious for 2 guards scoring in bunches against them. I mean, even Monte Ellis could drop 50 against them

3. Peja. What a choke artist when it comes to the playoffs. Remember when he was with the Kings and had a chance to put the Lakers away and shot a wide open airball to give the Lakers the win? With Peja's poor playoff shooting, West' injuries, and a lackluster bench, who is Chris Paul going to give the ball to?
4. Does anyone in the Western Conference know that Tony Parker still can't shoot jumpshots? Why are people still going over the screen? Why is he once again in the top 5 players scoring in the paint IN THE WHOLE NBA?
5. Shaq.
6. I wonder how many people will take the under that the Mavericks past the first round of the playoffs? TIm Duncan, Amare Stoudemire, Boozer, and Chandler will eat that middle alive. If they are depending on Dampier to hold the middle they are done. Jamaal Magloire was finished before he left Portland.
7. And finally, Bynum. I thought he was supposed to be back already. Last I heard he was barely running. The Lakers are great without him but he will be needed for the playoffs. I wonder if the injury is worse than we expeced. Like Elton Brand worse.
And finally if you havent seen this video of Shaq check it out!

Nice Blog!
Hopefully you post some other stuff soon.
The only answer I have is for question #1. Houston is not going to the playoffs. Finished!
What about Golden State??? No love?
Love that video, so funny!
Peja did have some good years with the Kings, and he has been playing pretty well this year, but come playoff time he'll be shooting airballs again.
Teams might as well have their center guard Parker cause you're right, he only shoots in the paint.
I miss Kelly Tripucka.
Maybe I'm a little young, but didn't Shaq retire? Watching that guy play is like watching an old couple driving the car they bought on their wedding day..blue smoke coming out the back and all...
Hey watch the comment about Elton Brand, there is no reason for the Clippers to bring him back this year, they are not going to be contending for the playoffs and they definitely don't need him now. Also, I have to agree with Kyle Korver and Ronnie Brewer comment, it just didn't make sense that the Jazz went after Kyle Korver, he is a great shooter but they had that with Giricek, he can't play defense at all and Brewer can just steal passes but they are going to get lit up by every 2 guard in the NBA.
Are you serious? Take Korver over Giricek? Giricek was spotty at best in his performance and consistency and the way he played didn't fit in with the Jazz offense. Korver was just what the doctor ordered
Have I seen the Western Conference? No idiot, I go to a site called NBAjunkies.com because I've never seen a game before. Your 8th grade journalism teacher must be very proud. And here's a newsflash for ya: the regular season has little or no bearing on a team's performance in the playoffs.
So kindly remove your tongue from the Rockets' ear and prepare yourself for another postseason of domination by the only team in the West built for the postseason - the Spurs.
